"i'll miss you, tony."

not to sound like a cheesy soap opera but this is probably the most passionate about Tony’s character that I’ve been in a long time. every trait, every characteristic, every line, was absolutely perfect and the most in character I’ve seen him in so long. talks about a future and a kid with pepper, proposing, planning a wedding, making his first priority the civilians in the New York battle, him going hand to hand with thanos all by himself and being one of the only people able to draw blood. like this is the guy who I related to so deeply ten years ago. this is the tony who desperately tried to save Yinsen in the cave, this is the tony who reached out to help obadiah when he thought Obadiah was reaching for him, this is the tony who actually sat and listened to vanko explain why he was angry even though vanko tried to kill him and hour ago. this was “I can technically only save three but y’know what? Fuck that I’m saving all thirteen people hurtling out of this plane” tony, this was “my worst fear is my friends dying and me not being able to do anything about it” tony. even the parts where he’s joking and bluffing and being defensive are all in character and add to the mounting panic until we finally see him break his facade and admit that he’s scared, he doesn’t know what to do, that as much as he’s planned and fought and seen and gone mildly crazy from what he knew was coming, now that it’s here…he’s lost. and I just, idk I felt all of the things that I felt as a eleven year old watching Iron Man 1 for the first with my older brother all over again, and i just really appreciate the time and energy everyone has put into creating this character who is so special and so important to me and other people…idk man I really love tony
