The first time they hold hands Barry doesn’t even have time to process it properly. They are hiding from Blackout and Barry’s heart feels like it’s going to jump out of his chest. He wants to protect Caitlin and he can hear her heavy breathing echoing through the whole room, but he doesn’t tell her to quiet down because he knows she must be terrified. He is too.

Caitlin’s hand bumps into his leg before it reaches his own. She is shaking and her hand is sweaty, just like his, but they don’t notice and they wouldn’t care. They need the connection, the support and when the metahuman gets closer to their hiding space their eyes find each other under the dim light.

Summary: A High School!AU that features Felicity and Barry as adorable BFFs, Caitlin and Barry being a perfect couple and Oliver and Felicity finding out what they really mean to each other.

Notes: This is a HS!AU that has actually very little high school in it but it came to my mind and I could not ignore it, I had to write it down and I hope you all like it. It’s my first Olicity and my first SnowBarry (even thought the Caitlin/Barry is as a side pairing). I have fallen in love with this universe so it’s possible I will be writing more of it.

“Are you sure it’s not going to end horribly?” Felicity asks her best friend, moving the food on her plate time and time again, not hungry enough to eat anything. The fries, which are normally the only cafeteria  food worth having, have gone cold and the chicken looks very suspiciously not like chicken at all.

“Felicity, why would it go horribly?” Barry is sitting in front of her, still eating even though he’s already on his third serving and he gestures to Felicity’s untouched food asking for permission. Felicity pushes the food towards him and Barry immediately starts eating it. The blonde girl is both horrified by her friend’s manic chewing and jealous of how he doesn’t seem to put on any weight even as much as he eats.

“Because!” Felicity nearly shouts making a few people turn to look at them but they lose interest quickly, used to the quirky girl. “We’re talking about the two of us going on a double date with Caitlin and Oliver. Oliver Queen, Barry!”

The boy chuckles, “You’ve been dating for over a month, Liz, I think you can stop calling him Oliver Queen and just call him Oliver.”
